The Clapotis Plunge

I'm doing it...I'm going to knit a clapotis.  Yarn is picked out:  Plymouth Yarn's Happy Feet, in color 15:  icy teal, periwinkle, and gray.  Needle size:  US 8.  It is next on my list, as soon as the Shawlette is finished.  And I'm getting there.

Spring Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a yarn problem.

Yay!  Spring break is finally here.  For a while there, I wasn't sure I was going to make it.  But it is here, and I'm so relieved.  Started off great today with a trip to the yarn store.  YARN STORE!!!!!!!!!  After browsing and smushing yarn and looking at everything at least three times, I left with a new dishcloth pattern book and some mercerized cotton yarn.  Already working on the first one.  Also had lunch with a friend, yay!  I'm just really looking forward to relaxing and not doing anything I don't want to do for the next few days.

Onto the yarn problem:  While sewing together a knitted bag made with Lamb's Pride, my sewing yarn kept getting untwisted and breaking.  I think the string was too long and there was too much friction from the sewing.  Still, I've never had that problem.

Baby sweater...Some assembly required

I just made a baby sweater for someone (Baby Sachiko Kimono Sweater).  Stupidly, I forgot to take pictures.  Anyway, she didn't want to know boy or girl, so I made the sweater in a beautiful shade of lapis blue, which I thought would work well for either gender.  I decided to make it customizable by included adorable little decorative frog buttons if it is a boy, and hot pink flowers if it is a girl.  Apparently, it was a big hit.  Yay!!

Friday, Friday, Friday!!!!...Yeah, I know it's Thursday

Yesterday and today, I woke up and thought "It's Friday!!"  And then I realized that it was not, in fact, Friday, which was mildly depressing.  I'm exhausted.  Spring break is next week, which is totally awesome.  So far, knitting has kept me sane the past few weeks.  I made a beautiful pair of Eyelet and Feather Socks for myself, and I'm working on a pair for my mom.  I used Fortissima Socka Mexiko Cotton Stretch by Schoeller + Stahl, which is the king of sock yarn.

Yeah.  I'm also working on a bag and a baby sweater.
